Thank you, Tyler for starting up a forum for Chips Challenge.
It is interesting that a game as old as CC still has so many adherents. With the tools
that some people have authored and made available freely, you can not only play,
but also design and play your own levels!
I wrote 2 ten level sets (available on Yahoo), but I am wondering;
What is the minimum number of levels in a set that people will bother with?
What is the type of "challenge" that players like? Random events, multi-layer puzzle
solving, searches for pieces?
What difficulties do players least like? Invisible mazes, too many hidden traps, next
to impossible solutions, repetitive motions required for no apparent reason other than
to slow the player down and use up time, 'luck' rather than 'skill'?
Regards, Ian. _________________

Ten levels would be fine for you to post. You should just post something people would be entertained by. :8

I know I, and probably others, hate levels that only require luck or fast-reflexes. Most people like puzzles with originality. Some of my favorite levels are Monster Lab, Steam, Memory, The Prisoner, Firetrap in CC1, and Security Breach, Reversi, The Crypts of Aganorak, Follow the Glacier Brick Road, Creative One-Ways, Don't Get Lost, Exit Chip (although this requires all luck:wink:), Rollercoaster, Pyramid, Bounce, Monster Factory, Circle Maze, Teeth, Frost Rings, BlockSlide, Microcosm, Frostbite, Cloner's Maze in CCLP2. As you can see, I like CCLP2 much better

Personally, I think all of them are annoying except for next to impossible solutions, which is only good when it requires skill. _________________ Geochip
